- Dr. Melinda Shoemaker received Professor of the Year 2010-2011 and has also received 4th Best Professor in the Nation. She currently teaches General Psychology, Marriage & Family, Advanced Psychology and Human Sexuality (known as Sex in the Summer).
- Dr. Shoemaker serves as the faculty advisor for the Psychology Club at Broward College North Campus. The Psychology Club incorporates the involvement of the students and the community. Dr. Shoemaker serves on several committees for the college.
